| ROLE: Mine Anti Tank is employed for immobilizing tanks, other types of tracked vehicles and also the wheeled vehicles. |

| FUNCTION: The assembly of the mine consists of the following components; |

| The filled mine is assembled with the above components. When a tank tracks or a vehicle wheel passes over a mine, it fulfils the condition required to detonate the fuze. The weight of the vehicle bearing down on the pressure pad, compresses the pads and sensing element to produce a surge of liquid pressure on the diaphragm of the element which in turn press the plunger of the striker downwards and thus functions the fuze which subsequently detonates the mine. | ||||||||||||

| QUALITY : The mines are filled and assembled under strict quality control. The performance of every lot of mine, fuze mine and fuze anti removal are ensured by separately proving as per respective proof schedules. SAFETY : To ensure safety the Fuze Mine A/T 4A ND and Fuze Anti Removal are not assembled with Mine during packing. At the time of laying the mine, the adapter transit is replaced by Fuze Mine A/T 4A ND with the help of "Key Ammunition". A number of mechanical safety devices have been incorporated in the Fuze to ensure safe handling and transportation. PACKING : Four Mines A/T 4 ND, four Fuze Mine A/T 4A ND, one Fuze Anti Removal and one Key Ammunition are packed in one wooden box. Fuze Mine and Fuze Anti Removal are in packed in plywood and plastic box respectively and then placed in the wooden box along with the four Mines. |
